Blue Pulse Steam Skin

Blue Pulse is a Steam skin that is centered on a mix of black and blue theme colors. Its interface doesn’t really feature a complete overhaul. Instead, the skin builds on the basic Steam layout by adding a little a color and vibrancy, which is just necessary for the upgrade.

A Close Look At the Colors and Design

The skin’s header, which features elegant blue color fading into classic black, is clean and simple, providing a perfect resting place for both text and Steam icons. The rest of the background is massively black in color and perfectly combines with the vibrant text above it to create a sleek overall look.

Most of the regular text is in white while active Steam sections and important but smaller interface links are highlighted in light blue color. The Friends and Chat panels lie conspicuously on the right side of the skin with the main game highlight, Achievements and Recent news sections maintaining their rightful place at the center.

Legibility

The games list and other sections of the skin are presented in a unique blend of white and blue text, which elevates legibility against the dark backgrounds. Everything from the menus to the section links all through to subheadings is given some decent space. And that further improves readability and by extension the process of maneuvering around.

Usability

Commonly used interface elements for this skin are easily accessible while the Big Picture Mode and other important icons are placed exactly where they should be. The only downside to this skin is that is has issues blending with the latest update of the Steam UI. So you may need to consider reverting to the old Steam setup for smoother usability.
